This cross cut paper shredder came packaged well with styrofoam on top & bottom. Shipping took longer than expected. When I lifted the shredder out of the box I could hear pieces rattling around inside of it. I thought it was possibly just the drawer and wheels so I continued on. I removed the trash bucket and turned it on to its side to put the wheels on. The 4 wheels it came with popped right on quiet easily. As I sat the shredder back upright I could still hear the rattling sound. At this point the wheels are on and bucket was out so neither of those were causing it. I then decided to replace the bucket and see if the rattling noise affected its ability to function. Well it would not do anything so I decided to investigate. I took the top off to find several of the plastic pieces that hold the screws that hold the top of the shredder to the bottom portion was broken completely off and rattling around inside. Because of Covid I couldn't get out to return it. So I screwed the screws in the parts that actually was able to hold it together and taped around the outer edge of the shredder. Tried again and it worked. Not as good as it should as it will only shred 3 papers at a time if I put in more than that it struggles and stops so i have to reverse the machine and try again multiple times.

I really like this shredder. In late 2018, our neighborhood shred event came to town...after that, no more events and the shred pile began to add up in our home. So, I bought this to prevent identity theft and it was has been an excellent purchase. It shreds all papers accurately as described and doesn't quickly overheat. It's worth the price.

Does what it is advertised to do on box. I bought it to shred paper, CD's and Credit Cards.

It's easy to use, you can view the bin so you know when to empty.. I only wish it could handle more paper at once..I'm impatient..

I went with the larger of the two because of the volume of paper I will be shedding. Great shredded.

The shredder shreds very well. I shredded paper, magzines and credit cards and no blockage.
