Out old shredder went down so I picked this one as it had the same features I wanted. It is not as fast but does the job well as long as you don’t cram too much at one time. It is quiet and I love the large window so I can see the paper level. The micro-shredding is a plus as I can shred more papers before emptying and love the large tub. A little expensive but a keeper.

Great experience so far: device feels solid, no problem shredding paper, CDs, credit cards, no temperatue issue either. Removable trash tray is great. Fairly quiet (compared to my old shredder). Recommended !

I purchased this shredder because I had a pile of papers to shred. It seemed like the best overall shredder with the credit card, CD, and micro cut features. And the wheels were a nice bonus. Works great and am satisfied with this purchase.

I was looking for a good shredder since my old one stopped working. Same time BestBuy had this shredder on sale for $75 so purchased it after reading most of the reviews on it. Very simple out of the box use. I just plugged it in and start shredding. No need to oil the shredder or anything like my old one. It shreds up to 10 sheets per pass but I did noticed that it was kinda struggled a bit with only 7-8 pages but it works good other wise. No problem shredding stabled papers, cds or credit cards. Not too loud either. Shredded pieces are cut down pretty good. The waste receptacle is big enough that I didn't have to empty often. Big plus for me is the pull out waste receptacle which makes it very easy to remove shredded pieces. Also the wheels feature makes it very nice to move around without having to left it. Though this is a good shredder for normal use and to me it is worth the $75 that I spent. Don't expect this to operate like the others heavy duty shredders that are higher price, but it will get the job done. Recommend it but don't buy for $119, just wait until it's on sale for $75. I see this item on sale all the time on BestBuy.com. cheers

I decided to try the Insignia™ - 10-Sheet Microcut Shredder - Black and try a microcut type. It is just awesome for a home office. It just chews up paper, envelopes, packing labels. Very quiet and efficient. Capacity is better then I thought it would be. Would def. purchase this again if needed and would recommend this model to anyone for a home office

Has been areal workhorse since it was purchased. I know of no quiet shredder but I will say it is quieter than my old 12 page shredder. It will require periodic cool down when doing a large batch of shredding but will resume faster than advertised. Gave it 5 stars because it performs as good or better than advertised and have had no clogging issues.

I've been using my new Insignia Shredder for a while now and I LOVE it! I feel more secure now that I can dispose of sensitive documents. The shredder also does a great job on disposing of old credit/gift cards. It's so easy to use!

This is a great shredder if you don't have a lot of major shredding to do. It is efficient, easy to use, and does a micro cross cut for added security. It is good for home/personal use and is a perfect size for under a desk. Takes up very little room. The refuse bin is easy to remove as well. It is just a bit noisier than my last Best Buy shredder.

Bought this shredder to replace an existing one, and it lived up to the reviews I read. Some had mentioned it as being loud, but I did not find that to be the case. Very compact, cross-cut shredding -- my bin doesn't fill up nearly as fast as my prior shredder. Very happy with the product.

I can put a lot of papers at a time didn’t have a problem with it so good I’m happy I don’t have to put papers one by one saves a lot of time I hated shredding but now I love it it makes it easier an it cut the paper into tiny tiny presses very impressed thank you!!

So far ........so good...........I have had other shredders that have jammed just trying to shred two sheets of paper. This one just chews right through 4 or 5.......no problem. It also has a separate slot for credit cards or dvd's. The waste receptacle is a little larger and easy to empty. The wheels make it easy to move around.

Very pleased with my purchase of this Insignia 10 sheet microcut shredder. Low noise level while operating and easy to switch from paper to CD's, etc. Only negative is that it fills up quickly and it doesn't use bags for ease in emptying. Highly recommend this product for whatever your shredding needs are.

This paper shredder is really good it has no problems shredding CDs, credit cards, DVDs, Blu-rays, Staples, PlayStation 4 games, Xbox One games, Wii U games for anything else you or your family can throw at it. I imagine this thing wouldn't have any problems shredding branches from my tree if the opening where big enough... which I'm glad it isn't because that could be dangerous. Anyways, I really enjoy seeing those satisfied grins on on my family's faces as they toss a piece of paper into this quality Insignia paper shredder. I haven't had to use one yet, but I bought paper shredder lubricant sheets to use for this. I'm not sure how often I need to do this, but I figure at least once a month if it gets used on the regular.

This shredder cut my shredding time in half. I tend to put about 8 to 10 pages at a time and it shreds them super quick. It also comes with wheels to roll from my closet to another room, so I don't have to carry it. The dispenser pulls out so I don't have to remove the top part to empty it out. Super nice shredder.

The shredder is heavy duty and was just what I wanted. The noise level is surprising low and it shreds into very small pieces. The bin pulls out like a drawer which makes emptying it very easy. I would highly recommend this shredder for home or office.

I actually planned to purchase a different shredder but it was not in store stock at the time I went to Best Buy. After some review of other options at the store I settled on this unit. I am very pleased with its performance. It does shred documents into very small pieces with the micro cut process. I feel confident (unlike my last shredder) that a thief would find it too tedious to try to steal my information by reassembling the shreddings. I have not pushed it to extreme limits but does appear to meet the standards and product descriptions thus far. It is relatively quiet and very quick. I am obviously very satisfied with this unit and have no reservations about recommending it.

I've been using this for a few weeks and I like the product. It is relatively quite compared to other shredders but slower due to the microshredding process. I've shredded CD's, credit cards along with paper with excellent results. Large bin reduces time in between emptying.

Like most shredders it works best when it is first out of the box. The number of sheets it can shred at one time has decreased over time. But overall still a very good shredder that can usually shred everything I put through when I sit down to do my weekly shredding without stalling or getting overheated.
