decent shredder

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the insignia shredder is decent. it doesn't actually take 10 sheets at a time, more like 2 or 3 and depending on the thickness of the paper sometimes only one. i have to stop shredding periodically and reverse the run and then go back to regular shredding. overall, i am satisfied because the actual shredding is really good.

I really like the removable trash bin and clear panel where you can see how full it is. With my old shredder, I couldn't tell how full the bin was until it working due to overload. Then I had to lift the shredder off the bin to empty it. That created mess every time.

I went to Bestbuy to see what options they had in stock. The lowest price unit seemed very limited. I did not need the features of the high end option. This model was all I needed and I decided to gamble and get it. I am satisfied with my choice and I like the pull out tray to empty.

We were looking for something with a microcut feature, and found this on sale at a no brainer price when compared to similar models from national brands. It’s shredded everything with ease that we’ve put through it.
