I had a shredder that always got paper stuck so I wasted a lot of time cleaning it out to get it to work again. The motor also overheated regularly. It finally died and I purchased this one after reading reviews very carefully. I have been most happy with it.

This shredder does an excellent job of microcutting paper and credit cards. After shredding, both are cut into pieces about the size of grains of rice. This was exactly what I needed and continue to need. I'm very happy with it. However, it does NOT microcut CDs and DVDs as claimed in the product description. It simply cuts them into four virtually useless strips. If you have extremely sensitive data on them, it's likely still possible to access it with the right skills and tools. This isn't a problem for me, but the description is quite misleading and wrong. Before I bought this shredder, I read all of the reviews. There was some concern about shredding time before overheating and a rather lengthy cool-down time. This hasn't been a problem for me. Every shredder has its limits, however the shredding time refers to *continuous* shredding. If you shred for say, 10 minutes, take a break, make a phone call, or do something else for a few minutes, the shredder will cool down even with the power on. By doing that, I was able to shred for over three hours without the shredder overheating. Overall, I really like this shredder a lot. It does the job very well, and at the price, especially if it's on sale, it's an excellent value. My only complaint is in the product description regarding CDs/DVDs.

I needed a new shredder and, of course, tuned to Best Buy. This shredder is so much better than the one I previously owned. It works so well and I couldn't be more pleased. If you need a shredder, buy this one!

For the price the shredder does just fine. Nothing elegant or powerful, just workman like.

I was recently given the task of shredding 50 years or so of paperwork and my cheaper shredder just wasn't cutting it. It was overheating in less than 10 minutes and taking ages to cool down. This shredder has been a GREAT addition. It's quick, quiet, and the bin is huge! Highly recommend!

I've been using this for a month now and have had no issues shredding everything from 10 sheets of paper at once or expired ID cards. Worth the money when it's on sale. The reservoir is so big I haven't needed to empty it yet and I use it several times a week

I brought this shredder for my mom after her last one broke. This shredder is the best one we've had so far. In the words of my mom "it makes confetti." It has not overheated on us yet and we have done plenty of shredding since purchasing the shredder.

No problems here, just does what I need it to do. I like the extra fine shredding

This thing works pretty well as long as you heed how many pages it can take at once. I have jammed it a few times when rushing and just trying to cram too many pages in, but as long as you take your time a bit it does an acceptable job. Overall happy with it so far.

Everyone needs one of these. The device works wonders and can shred a lot a paper...

Good shredder for the price. It is good for every-day paper (1 or 2), but does slow a bit with 5 (or more) 8.5X11 sheets or more. Have not tested the 10 sheet claim for fear of burning the motor out. Am not beating the product up, because it does what is advertised, Do not want to pressure test it! Stand by the capability and the price.

I had a bunch of paper to shred. I ran this shredder for about an hour and a half only stopping for a few minutes to empty the basket, no problems with the motor. I did notice that when I pushed 10 sheets the motor sounded forced so I ran it whith 3 to 5.
