Product did not come with clear directions for opening the paper bin. Immediately broke the latching mechanism trying to gain access to the bin. It does shred well,though.

I Purchased my Insignia when it was on sale and I had a decent bankroll of "oints" on my Best Buy Card; it is easily one of the "Top Ten" items I've purchased over the years. I research everything and take copious notes in both longhand and by printing. I have notes from projects abandoned decades ago, either for confirmation of theories or easily "put to rest" others that are truly absurd. Once I put the shredder to use, my workspace and room have become "clutter-free." I scan each personal document and put it in its proper folder, then I use my shredder and recycle the paper. Only "official" documents remain intact. Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, city, state, and federal documents are scanned go into physical folders and are kept under lock and key. My Insignia Microcut has worked perfectly, and I believe it has a long, productive life ahead of it. What I get is about 70years of cleanup, where the shredded material either goes to a commercial recyler or gets added to mulch.

Very happy with this little gem. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived last night. I plugged it in and was on my way to quickly disposing of old tax records and personal info in minutes. I like the notification lights and the fact that it has wheels to help me move it about--it's a bit heavy. It's not any noisier than my previous shredder. Thanks to my online agent-- Vincent Alexander--who walked me through the process. Not able to find a way to give him kudos on your website (y'all need to fix that).

Surprisingly quiet but jam’s easily. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to move.

I had a crosscut shredder that finally gave up. This shredder appears to be reliable, durable and securely shreds paper. Although its maximum is 10 sheets, I'm not going to tax it, i never do more than 5 sheets. Only complaint is the instructions say you cannot shred envelopes with cellophane windows, so we cannot just leave it by the door to drop the discarded mail in to be dispatched.

Love the.wider opening to feed papers. So nice to do more than 1 oe 2 sheets at a time. Have not had any problems with overheating. The drawer is a little hard to pull out but would not prevent me from giving a good rating.

for the price it was an amazing shredder I really enjoyed this product that's exactly what I wanted and exactly what I needed
