Runs very quiet and does a great job cutting up paper into small micro pieces which makes it impossible to read. I really like how the shredder powers itself when not in use. I use BSBValue 6-7 gallon shredder bags which fits perfectly in the waste basket without interfering with the operation of the shredder. Makes emptying the shredder much easier than shredding directly into the basket and emptying.

I see now it’s went down, but it’s actually still sharp and working. Just have to keep it clean and keep it up and you shouldn’t have any problems with it.

Perfect for what we do!

Shreds credit cards, multiple pages just fine. Only real complaint is there aren't any bigger shredders for how much we shred stuff. At least not at Best Buy. Still though, a great price for Insignia!

Insignia 10-Sheet Microcut Shredder

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Microcut shredder is great where the cuts are tiny enough that it takes time to empty out the basket. 4* for that. 1* for cutting the credit card part...it's not as fine. Bigger pieces and still see name. Also the motor doesn't stop. Initially it did but after it kind of stays on even when it looks like the paper all went down. I hope that is normal. Also lots of paper dust. The bin sticks and need to pull hard for it to come out.

Great Shredder

Used it for the first time to shred 125 documents. It looks like confetti after shredding. No jams as I was very careful to not overload each run. Worked great on CD's and credit cards too. First real shredder we have purchased and we are very happy with it.
