To be honest I bought it without reading the package and assumed it wouldn't matter which end went where. After connecting it the right way it still didn't do anything. Might as well get a regular hdmi cable

It flickered at first and then went black halfway my testing. However, after a few moments, I was able to restart both devices and that seemed to have fixed the problem.
