Helps prolong battery on airplane with MacBook

It will charge only if the computer is shut down. Otherwise it simply prolongs battery life. I was able to use the laptop for about 8 hours and still had roughly 40% power. Suitable to I'd say 15 hours of continuous use which is more than enough. I can't fault the cable as much as the powered USB ports on the airplane since this same cable works when using a wall outlet usb brick. I recommend it.

Not your normal charging cable
