These are supposed to be rated at 10W and they ship with a charger that is marked with QC3 (which is capable of supplying up to 18W depending on the voltage). So from the specs it should be very capable of supplying the full 10W. However in my experience when I put my phone on it (which is older and only capable of 5W charging) it only charges at 3.5W. Here is where it gets very strange. If I put a different QC3 charger on it (one that that I owned that isn't supplied with the package) I get the full 5W charging speed. Also when I use the plug adaptor that came with this package with a different charger it does supply enough power and charges at 5W. So it seems that there is some kind of incompatibility between the QC3 adaptor and the Qi pad that are supplied together here. I got 3 sets and had planned to keep one set and give the other 2 to my parents, but since I'm having problems like this I'm hesitant to give them something that isn't working well.

The box had no charging cable and no USB power adapter. Best Buy customer service said I would need to have the issue addressed by Insignia. Insignia customer service said I would need to have the issue addressed by Best Buy. I was even a Total Tech Support Member ($200/yr). I'm out the $30 for the product, and canceled my Total Tech Membership as a result of this experience.
