You get what you pay for. There is no vent or cooling tech in this charging stand. It serves its job as a charging stand and charges yours phone wirelessly and slowly during your sleep. Since it gets hot half way in, there is no guarantee it would last for a year.

The Charging Phone Stand works great! I initially thought that I would have to remove my iPhone from the Wixgear protective case that I have it in (every time I needed a charge), but that wasn't necessary. The stand is sufficiently powerful enough to transfer the charge. I plug the stand into a GFCI protected receptacle in my bathroom, and watch the news while I'm shaving. I'm very glad that I made this purchase!

We bought this as a gift for our daughter for her office. She loves it. Unlike those charging pads that you have to lay your phone on, this one stands up straight so you can still see your screen while it is charging. That’s great for an office or bedside where you can look at incoming messages without removing the phone from the charger.

Works great at my desk while I do work, game, whatever. This will charge fast enough that you can pick it up and be ready to go in 30 min, but also charges slowly enough that you shouldnt have to worry about your phone's battery degrading. The iPhone only takes up to 18W anyway, this settles in at 10W. Better than the stock wall charger they used to give. What's better is the lack of wire in view on your desk.

Purchased this on sale to charge my Pixel 3 phone. I had expected it not to work well as I'd read that Pixel phones sometimes don't charge well w/ non-Google Qi chargers. However, it has worked well for several days. Charging is as fast as using a regular USB-C cable and a standard (not fast) charger. I'm not using the included AC adapter but just plugging it into the USB port on my La-Z-Boy sofa. :-)
