I keep it at my desk at work and that is more than enough power to keep my phone charged. I would highly recommend this for a backup. The one I use at home is a higher wattage which is needed for overnight Pusher my alarm goes off... That's really just a fear so it's not necessary at all to buy a higher-powered one.
