Not cooling

Poor circulation from fan

Leaks Water

Wouldn’t purchase from best buy

Pleased overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this after having a bad experience with one we bought elsewhere that had a terrible toxic smell that would not go away and got into the water bottles and on the cans. After we spent three months trying to make the smell go away, we exchanged for another one and that one also had the smell. We gave up and decided to try this one. This fridge is great and is much nicer than the one we had previously. First off, no bad smell!! It also cools much faster and keeps temperature very even from top to bottom, which the other one did not do (this one has a small fan that circulates the air and keeps the coil defrosted - a huge plus!!) It runs very quiet and looks great. No complaints on operation or appearance. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5; The interior width is just slightly too narrow to allow 6 cans across (maybe 1/2 inch-1 inch short at most). This is annoying since it is designed as a beverage cooler, why make it way too wide for 5 cans but not quite enough for 6? Theoretically you can get 6 cans across if you stagger them, but then that makes them difficult to remove. The problem is that the supports for the shelves stick out a bit from the sides. In the bottom section that has no shelf supports in the way you can get 6 cans across (or same if you lay the cans on their side on any shelf, but that greatly reduces the total it can hold). So they say it can hold 114 cans; I can't get anywhere close to that number and would love for someone at Insignia to explain how that is possible. Bottom section can hold 12, and each of the remaining three shelves could hold 24 at most (4 deep and 6 across) which is 84, but you also have to account for the fan on the top shelf, which will eliminate at least another 3, so 81 maybe at most. If you want nice rows so people can actually get the cans out without knocking others onto the floor, you can get 20 per shelf (-3 on the top shelf), plus 12 at the bottom, total of 69 at most. We ended up putting bottled water on the top shelf which does allow us to get 6 across and 4 deep, except the two middle rows are 3 deep because of the fan (22 total), and cans on the remaining two shelves and bottom, so overall it still works fine for us, but nowhere near the stated capacity. That part is disappointing, but fridge works so well we will live with this shortcoming, just seems like something that could have so easily been addressed with a little thought.

Twice sent back
