I'm very happy with my purchase. Excellent price, easy fast delivery (just a couple of days). This freezer runs quiet and efficient. I love that it's frost free and perfect size for my family. I would definitely recommend it.

For years, we've been saying we should get a freezer. Rumors of meat shortages during the COVID-19 crisis prompted us into action. We chose this particular unit mostly because of the size, and because almost every other model was sold out. The front panel says it is set for "00" degrees. The other day I pulled out a carton of ice cream and inserted a high quality thermometer. It said "0" for a second, then settled on "-1", so I'd say it regulates the temperature very well. A spacious interior makes it easy pile things in there, even 16" pizza boxes fit. I do suggest you get plastic baskets to help organize smaller stuff - you can only stack small things up to a point, and the baskets make it easy to slide stuff out and find what you need. Very quiet operation, you can barely tell it is on when you're standing next to it. Being able to use it as a fridge is a nice option, but I suspect we'll always have it in freezer mode.

This freezer is switchable to fridge with just a click of the button. It is a good size freezer and has lots of room to freeze all our frozen foods. It comes on 2 wheels and rolls easily. It has a lock to keep kids from opening and closing the door. We don't recommend putting it in garage due to changes in extreme temperatures. The garage gets very hot in summer and the compressor runs longer periods of time. In the winter, the freezing temperatures don't help the companies components to work well. Keep freezer inside the house.

There is actually an option to choose to use it as a full spare freezer or fridge which i love. So far we chose freezer and it has been perfect. Great price too.

Purchased to replace a box freezer which was hard to store and find/retrieve frozen items from due to stacked atop each other. Great delivery and setup by Best Buy contracted crew. Works great, so easy to store and locate items. The only difficulty is the pressure pull on the door makes it hard to open. Secret seems to be use fingernail to just lightly break that pressure and door then easily opens. Appears there will be no problem avoiding any frost created inside the freezer by it sucking in any air with such a solid seal. Ability to convert it to a refrigerator by adjusting the temperature might be a benefit for those whom might need a 2nd refrigerator periodically.

It was time for a new freezer as mine was 23 yrs old. After searching we decided on the Insignia 13.8 convertible upright freezer. Delivery was prompt and courteous and all I can say as of right now we are extremely happy with it, no regrets at all. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new freezer or a first time buyer.

I’ve had this Insignia 13.8 cu. ft. freezer for about three months and it’s been great so far. It gets very cold, the auto-defrost feature is a huge improvement over my old chest freezer, and the door gaskets create a nice tight seal. Seems well built and perfect for the garage.

So far so good. Using it in freezer mode with no issues so far, it's fairly quiet even with the compressor running and freezes items quickly. The freezer is gonna slide when opening the door with nothing inside due to the heavy suction in freezer mode. Adjusting the legs won't do anything, you need to add weight/food and the sliding will stop.

This freezer is perfect for storing my additional items. I love the space inside, as well as the small amount space it takes on the outside.

The perfect refrigerator or freezer for a large or small garage. There is plenty of room inside for its size and is very quiet.

Plenty of room and extremely quiet. We keep this in the family room filled with drinks and healthy snacks. Keeps everything cold. I didn't need a freezer and I'm glad to have more room for other things instead. Plus no worries that things in the back will freeze. Only issue: when I loaded the door withbottles, it kept popping open. I couldn't find an easy stand to help level on the carpet, which might have helped. Still, great unit. We had to drive a ways to find one in stock but was worth it.

I absolutely love this combination refrig/freezer! I am surprised at how much food it holds. The bottom tray is so convenient and handy. I feel that the price was great also. I had been searching for a freezer for months, but due to Covid-19, every price sky-rocketed. When I saw the features and specs for this one, it was exactly what I wanted and needed!

Excellent upright freezer. We bought a whole hog and needed a larger freezer for storage and this had more than enough space. Looks great and works very nicely. I do wish there were baskets instead of the glass shelves. But being a fridge as well the shelves make sense. Would buy again and recommend.

It is very good equipment. I found it quiet and noted that it maintains the temperature very well. For our work we use thermometer and noted that it doesn’t fluctuate significantly.

Currently using this as a fridge in my kitchen with no temp issues. I also have last year's model I am using as a freezer, now I have matching full size fridge and freezer side by side!

Love the fact that this freezer can convert to a fridge with the touch of a button! Bought this so we could keep various drinks cold and store food when we have company over for dinner. There is a lot of space in this fridge. Make sure you level it properly. It would be great to get 2, to have a large fridge and a freezer!
