Bought this because I needed a freezer that didn't take up a lot of space. Only costs $47 a year to run. Also converts to a refrigerator, when needed. Right now, I need it as a freezer. When I move to FL, I will need an extra fridge for beverages, and so it will become a surplus refrigerator. It's awesome! It even has an alarm in case the door doesn't shut all the way....it will let you know. Totally programmable and easy to use. Love it!

As the cardboard and plastic wrapping was stripped from the appliance I stood there in astonishment at the sight of this magnificent piece of engineering. My mind could not fathom equipment such as this one. It could just become a fridge or a freezer at a whim? Was this an abomination or a heavenly creature? I can say for sure that it keeps things cold whichever way you may have it, but it may be time before we see if this alters the future of mankind, good or bad.

This is fine for the price. Had to shim as the leveling feet aren't sufficient. In-door storage isn't the greatest but at least it's there. Shelves and drawer are fine. Have only used in fridge mode so can't talk about how well it keeps frozen goods, but as a garage fridge it gets the job done. If I hadn't gotten it on sale it would have been overpriced for what it is.

We love our Freezer. Everything on all shelves and drawers stay frozen. Ours is in our garage. We live in Texas the heat index this week has been 112-115 degrees. The freezer has held up and everything has remained frozen solid. The air tight seal keeps the cold in and the heat out. This freezer converts to a refrigerator as well although I already have a fridge in the garage I have not used this function yet. The shelves are adjustable which makes it nice for preparing more space on a specific shelf if needed. I highly recommend this freezer.

I was skeptical about performance at higher temperature specially in Garage in Texas. It's working perfectly what it made for really recommending for such price it worth every penny

Perfect for me. I keep my freezer and pantry full all the time. I live very rural and don't like to shop unless I have too. I gave away the bigger freezer I had since I didn't need one so big. This one is perfect for me. I can stock it up and skip the trips to the store.. I love it. This is my first frost free and I'm excited about that as well is it can be used as a fridge if that is what you need. Price was prefect and the best I found for the money.

Love the option of fridg or freezer! This is also a great price for the convenience.

Great upright freezer. We have been purchasing 1/4 cows and 1/2 pigs and didn’t want t chest freezer. Items tend to get lost in the bottom. Having this upright freezer has made it a breeze to organize meats by cuts and the vacuum assist door that kicks in after closing is a nice touch

I love my Upright Freeze. This freeze hold more food then my old chest freezer and you can see everything. The price was the best compare with the other stores, and the service/delivery was great.

Bought this because we need to have more fridge space, but we really like that we could use it as a freezer one day if we wanted.

They came, they opened everything, they turned it on. All I had to do was fill it. lol I really didn't think clearly how big it was going to be. I was tired of our chest freezer because everything you wanted was always down the bottom. This you open and can see everything. I am having a problem with the lock, it doesn't seem to be working, but it could be me, I will have to read the manual. It works awesome in freezing things.

This is a very versatile unit you can use it as a freezer or refrigerator unfortunately for me our unit went down but thanks to Best buy's protection plan they replaced it I have nothing negative to say about the protection plans offered by Best buy or should I say the total tech that I'm a member of or do I have anything negative to say about the unit My new unit is up and running and it's great. FYI love being able to set this to negative 11 and make drinks cold within 5 minutes

Upright came with some dents, however delivery guys was very professional, wanted to take it back,but I redused. Was told I would have to pay again for re-delivery.

I bought this to replace a much larger freezer. The freezer this replaced lasted almost 25 years! This freezer packs a lot of room in a small footprint. I like the way the shelves are laid out and the storage space on the door is great! It’s quiet and easy to open. I bought this for my parents both who are into their 80s. The size is perfect for them and the fact that you don’t need to be the Hulk to open the door is nice. That being said, the door does make a very good seal. Are there better freezers out there? Of course! But for the price point and quality, this one is hard to beat. I would buy this again. We have a chest freezer in our house that is over 15 years old. When it’s time to replace it, I’m replacing it with this freezer. Just because Insignia is Best Buy’s budget line, it doesn’t mean the quality is poor.

I am giving the actual freezer 5 stars as it does everything as advertised. The 13.8 cu ft is perfect for our family size of 6. I can store a quarter cow butchered with extra space for 5 full chickens, 4 chickens butchered, 25 pounds of pork butchered and still have room for 5 2lb bags of frozen vegetables, and other miscellaneous items. I love the temp setting display. We have yet to use this as a full on refrigerator. We were thinking about purchasing another unit as our back up fridge. I am however, taking away one star because the unit arrived damaged and Best Buy said it would credit me for the damage and I have not seen or heard from Best Buy since it was delivered back in June 2020. Best Buy customer service is terrible and have not returned any of my calls on this matter.

It is an excellent fridge knowing that it can be used either fridge or freezer Great as of now
