We bought this one to set side by side the other one we have to setup as a freezer. It is a little different in a few ways to the previous model, in that the lighting is much better, and the dividers are plexiglass instead of plastic covered metal. The plexiglass does seem to be a very good quality one though, heavy, and very sturdy. It has a nice feature in that it can flash freeze things going below -13 degrees Fahrenheit. We have 4 freezers, and this is by far the best one we have gotten. Love the fact, it will send me messages if the temperature goes to high, or somebody leaves the door open too long.

It has been working well at keeping all the meat and misc frozen items (pizza, noodle, ice packs etc.), well, frozen. The test came 7/8/2024 when we lost power due to Hurricane Beryl. We got power back on 7/13. When we check inside, to our surprise, only some of the food on the top 2 shelves defrosted. Anything below the 3rd shelf stays frozen. So, yes, I give this a solid 5 star.

Also I was surprised how quiet it was while running . Much easier to use than a chest freezer , as every thing is much more accessible .

Loved it so much I brought it twice

We decided to use the 13.8 Cu Ft version as a refrigerator in our garage and purchased the 17 Cu Ft version as a freezer for our garage. We love that they are convertible. So far they work perfect!

It beeps to let us know the door is open. The freezer is so quiet and hardly ever runs. Great buy. This freezer can be a fridge too, so we now have a back up should it ever be needed.
