Unfortunately had to downsize from the 21 CU ft because the door hit our garage stairs (barely) and couldn't completely open. Unable to go with the 17 CU Ft model because it's only shorter, so it would have had the same door swing distance issue. On this model there is no way to change the side the door opens from. Best buy was fantastic with the exchange process, dropped of the smaller one, picked up the bigger one and discounted me the price difference.

It's great to be able to convert it depending on what's going on in your life. Holidays to store extra desserts, drinks, etc, then freezer when you find a great sale just with the touch of a button.

There was more than enough room for all of the meet and it seems to be working great. Love having an upright freezer versus our other chest freezer. There is even an alarm that alerts you if the door isn't shut tight.
