I was throwing out a lot of moldy cheeses and vegetables on a regular basis. I set up 2 different types of properly calibrated thermometers in the fridge - one on the middle shelf and one on the door shelf. I made sure the door was not opened for less than 4 hours. The thermometer is set at 35F, but the interior of the fridge will not go below 40F. Checking regularly, the temp is still consistently running at 40F. This is dangerous. Looking into this problem, I found this to be a very common complaint. The freezer gets to freezing temperature so the unit is certainly capable of maintaining a proper refrigerator temp and yet it won't get to 35F. My unit is no longer under warranty, but I consider this to be actually a defect.

We are in Florida Summer and this unit is operating as a freezer in our garage. It frankly, works better than our side by side freezer in the house. I have been so pleased with this unit! It has been more than a year already, and everything is working fine. Another convenience thing about this freezer is the frost free. The stand up freezer makes the food more visible, and easy to get compare to the chest freezer.

Beware, if you use it as a refrigerator, and you loose power, when the power comes back on, the default temp setting is a freezer temperature. Your liquids may burst.

It was by far a terrific value for the price and we received it super fast. I am so impressed by its performance. I didn't realize how poorly our chest freezer was performing until we tried our new freezer, it's night and day!
