Best Buy won't schedule an in home repair, even though I would be paying for it. They want me to take back to a store. I had this delivered for a reason - I can't transport it myself. Bounced around numerous support agents across the globe. Got no where. Lights inside work, temp shows 5 degrees. Hotter inside than ambient temperature outside. Compressor very hot to the touch. Probably will just put out for the trash and buy from a different store.

When placing a call to have it serviced under warranty, I was instructed to return it to Best Buy for service as it must be at least 18 cubic feet to qualify for in home repair. This is not a mini fridge that you can easily load in a truck or SUV. Shame on you Best Buy for creating this policy that clearly is in your favor and leaves your customers with a broken major appliance.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciate the spaciousness of your Insignia upright freezer. It sounds like the unit might currently be set to fridge mode, which is why the temperature cannot be adjusted lower than 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can switch to freezer mode by following these steps:
1. Press and hold the Lock button for three seconds to unlock the control panel.
2. Press and hold the Freezer/Fridge button for three seconds to change modes. The panel will beep and the indicator will change to the new mode.
