Delivery of the unit was scheduled for Dec. 23. Because of the age of my home I had the delivery personnel un-box the unit in the driveway, for ease of entry to my home. The unit arrived damaged. The whole backside of this freezer was damaged, each corner/edge was either dented or crushed. Strange?, that the box it came in was not... I refused delivery, and had to reschedule for another unit to be delivered a month later. NOT HAPPY!!!

The product is fine, but the installers dragged the product their coats or something down my basement stairwell wells leaving super noticeable damage all the way down. I wasn't home at install (my neighbor was), and they didn't tell him or me about it. Since then I've called TWICE a month apart on 20-30 minute holds telling me the 3rd party claim company would contact me. And NOTHING has been done for months. Awful!

I have had this freezer/refrigerator combo for about eight months. It’s very persnickety. I use it as a freezer. It cools most of the time. The problem is that it will just stop freezing for no reason. I have lost two freezers full of food which amounts to about $1,500 total. No good!! I just went to get something out of it and it stopped freezing again!! I contacted Insignia who said it’s a Best Buy issue and I contacted Best Buy who said it is an Insignia issue. I simply need a freezer that works without failing - especially since it is less than a year old.

I read a few reviews that was in favor of this item being good but I am not impressed. Weird moan sounds from time to time after a year of having it and it LEAKS!
also called best buy for a repair and they ended up giving me the Item exchange number instead. So I tried to contact geeksquad exchange via phone which i would not recommend. Which now theyre trying to schedule me for a repair instead...

The freezer stopped working correctly in less than 6 months. I lost around 600.00 dollars worth of food. I was told Insigna was a Best Buy brand. I was then told this freezer is nor repairable. It is only replaceable. Information that would have been nice to know prior to purchase!!!!

Ordered in store picked out in store was promised a August 11th date they dropped and damaged product then proceeded to push me further out and still charged a delivery fee and on top of it had decided to cancel the order wow Best Buy you certain have left a bad taste for your brand name in my mouth. Never again will I be disappointed. You would think Best Buy would give free ship. With disregard to that I live in NY state where we had a power outage I went to Best Buy with the intentions of yes they will help me not still waiting for freezer August 20 what a joke

Do not waste your money. We purchased this product in January 2023 to use as our backup freezer when it was $679. Just as two years hit in January 2025, it died. Called "Insignia" product support (third party call center) and they advised the product only has a one year warranty. They refused to do anything past that as the warranty expired but thanked us for being a "valued customer". A valued customer that has no value is a bigger insult than wasting money on a defective product.

piece of garbage , the door handle is so cheap . the set screws are going into the plastic handle to hold the handle on the door are just to small for the pressure it takes to open it . the handle came off at the bottom and the screw is now stripped out after trying to tighten it back up . i dont recomend this product for this price point .

I am really disappointed with this purchase as it only lasted two years and quit working one month after canceling my membership and the extended warranty with it. This freezer is made exclusively for Best Buy (insignia) and is junk . I will never buy from them again.

I wanted to like this item. It's large and would easily hold everything I needed. The issue is it doesn't hold temperature correctly as a fridge. Set at 35 it's routinely at 45-47 degrees. This is way too warm.

Freezer died exactly 13 months after I bought it, I lost a ton of food and it is too expensive to get repaired and it is just past the warranty. Total nightmare do not buy this freezer!

Piece of crap. On the refrigerator mode set the temp to 35F. Temperature swings from 31F to 53F. Bought for dray aging and charcuterie. But doesn't maintain a constant temp. Emailed tech support and still haven't heard from them. And of course past the date to return,

I had it a little over a year and it died and I had to buy a new one. It was cheaper to buy a new freezer than to get this one replaced. Don’t waste your time with this one
