this is a good spare freezer. I have not used it as a refrigerator but i like it has option .

I haven't had it in use very long, but it seems to be working as it should. It is a good garage freezer.

Brought this Insignia upright freezer in April of 2020 to have more food storage when Covid hit. Delivered in pristine condition. No dents and still running strong. Love having the extra freezer storage. Our refrigerator is cabinet depth due to a small kitchen area and the freezer is borderline useless. Have never had an issue with an Insignia product.

This has plenty of space and love the shelves on the door. Has been a great purchase.

I bought this freezer in November of 2020 to function as a garage freezer. It ran great up until early May of 2023, when I set it to fridge mode, and it stopped cooling. Turning it back to freezer mode seems to do nothing. It makes noise like it's cooling, and the compressor gets warm, but the inside just never cools. Bestbuy customer service has told me that I have to bring it into a store so they can diagnose it and let me know how much it will cost to repair. So now I have to borrow a truck from a friend in order to potentially have this less than 3 year old freezer repaired. I understand that it's an appliance, and they break, but for such a simple appliance, it's frustrating that it didn't even make it 3 years. 2 stars because when it was running, it was fantastic.

The freezer is great and working as advertised. However, I was disappointed in finding out after the purchase that in the documentation it says there needs to be eight (8) inches of clearance on both sides of the freezer as well as the usual space behind it. It would have been nice to find that out ahead of time. For us it wasn't a problem but others may find it impossible to work out.

Running fine so far. I use it as a freezer but have only had it for about a month.

Love this freezer! I haven't had any issues and it keeps everything fresh. I keep it in the garage and it has held up to the crazy Las Vegas great like a champ.

Freezer stopped working after 14 months / lost all the meat in it. All the freon was slowly leaking out the entire time. Obviously, a manufacturer defect. Best Buy customer service told me to take it to store and someone would look at it. They stated it was considered a small appliance so they could not send someone out. I told customer service that 13.8 cubic foot upright freezer is NOT a small appliance, I’d be hard pressed to fit it in my SUV, and you are NOT supposed to lay it on its side. Customer Service insisted it was a small appliance, and I had to take it to the store. I showed up at the store with the freezer in my SUV and they refuse to look at. They said they could send someone to my house, which is what I asked for in the place. Best Buy would not work with me AT ALL (cost wise) regarding having someone come look at it. They were unwilling to do anything to accommodate the inconvenience they had caused. Had another company look at it and determined it would have cost more to repair than replace it. Needless to say, I didn’t purchase another freezer from Best Buy.

Bought as a gift for someone. They use it has a freezer and love it.

We are very happy with this purchase. The freezer looks great and works perfectly.
