It's freezer, it keeps things frozen and it's quiet. What I don't like is the temp panel on the door. It does not display the actual temp inside the freezer, just the DESIRED temp. Pretty much useless panel.

I loved this freezer.... until two days ago. Everything started defrosting and I tried everything in the troubleshooting guide to no avail. I called Insignia and they basically had me repeat everything again to no avail. I had a repair guy here and hour ago that diagnosed my problem as a bad compressor. Needless to say, more expensive to repair than to replace. I've only had this freezer for 15 months. Very disappointed.

Bought this for our kids. They have a new baby and needed more freezer space. They love it!

I purchased this refrigerator for storage of vaccines in my medical clinic. I chose this model because of the automatic temperature setting feature. Because it is being used to store vaccines, the state requires use of an external recording thermometer which is set to record temperatures every 30 minutes. Despite that fact that my unit is set at 38 degrees, I have noticed a wide variation of temperatures ranging from 31.7 degrees to 52.4 degrees (the usual acceptable range for storing vaccines is 36 degrees to 46 degrees). This range of temperatures is noted even on days when the office is closed (i.e. the unit is not being opened and closed). I called the manufacturer to request a service appointment as my unit is still under warranty. The representative said I am only eligible for an in-store service appointment, or suggested I contact a local refrigerator technician (at my expense) to come and take a look. Thousands of dollars in vaccines wasted in addition to the cost of this product. This is my first and last purchase of an Insignia product.

We purchased this item in March of 2021. It lasted a month short of 3 years. We have now had a complete failure of the unit causing a complete thaw of all the contents. Fortunately, we live in Idaho and it is winter so we were able to move the contents into containers and store them outside where the temperature is below freezing. We are hoping this will save some of the food but expect we will still lose a lot. Now the problem is finding a replacement that can be delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Our local Best Buy can not provide a replacement in less than a week. A total failure on a product like this when less than 3 years of age is unacceptable. Will not buy nor recommend this brand again.

Got a good price during the black Friday sale. Freezer had slight damage on the left rear corner but did not affect it working.

A little miss hap on the first delivery the door switch arrived bent so was not able to use it right away. Had to reorder
