Great garbage can at a great price. I like the automatic lid as compared to the foot lever in other brands as I would always need to reposition the can as it would move as I stepped on the lever. This one does not do that. The only thing I have found that I like less is peeling hard-boiled eggs over the open can as the lip will keep trying to close ;-) Not bad if this is the worst I can say about it.

LOVED the trash can, until it stopped working. We only had it 9 months and the lid quick opening. We changed batteries and everything, doesn't open anymore. The light is still on and flashing, we just think the gears that open the lid quit on us. Its a very expensive trash can if the lid doesn't work.

I was skeptical about buying this trash can because I know next to nothing about the Insignia brand but I am thrilled with this purchase! It’s the perfect size for my kitchen, the bags I bought at Sam’s Club fit perfectly and it looks expensive but is affordable. I’ve had it a few weeks now and we haven’t had a problem with it as of yet. I definitely recommend getting this one if you don’t like the idea of touching the lid to open/close it!

works great, would definitely recommend, down side is the batteries.

It works very good. The size is just right for the bags we use. Also it’s convenient when your hands are dirty and you don’t want to touch the can.

..and if it does my condolences on the life you were leading before this. But it does what it's supposed to do - it opens up with a wave of the hand, and closes again a few seconds later. There's no interior can, and the lid is designed to hold the bag in place as opposed to stretching the opening out and around an interior can.

I purchased this system to replace another brand’s system that stopped working. I put the batteries in, added the garbage bag, and it’s been great ever since. I love the automatic open and close. Great purchase so far.

Nice trash, works great, has vents in the bottom so you don't have to "burp" the trash bag. Be careful, this can allow you to fill the trash can too full and be difficult to pull the bag out. The photo sensor is sensitive and lifts the lid every time I walk by, so I am curious as to how long the batteries will last.

Just what I needed. Not to large or to small. It is also very attractive piece.

I’ve had a touch free trashcan for years. When my old one of a different brand stopped working I found this on Best Buy deal of the day. I was hesitant but it’s been working great and it looks good too.

It's maybe my favorite product that I bought and a long time from best buy. It works great and it looks great and my kitchen and it keeps. The smells from the garbage in the can surprisingly well highly recommended

I love this trashcan! Its so good to have in your kitchen when you are cooking and your hands are dirty or full ! I initially thought the price was too expensive.I waited until it went on sale and got it then.So far I have zero complaints....lets hope it stays that way.I purchzsed z warranty just in case.The only thing yhat O dont likeis the lid.Its plastic and flimsyandut looks like itciuld break easily

Great automatic garbage can. Good size and very affordable

Ordered this for store pickup to eliminate damage while on home delivery trucks. The one I order from an online only company came badly dented, even though the box looked fine. This one was perfect. Works great although it will open unnecessarily if placed in an area of high traffic. Uses D batteries; I would prefer that it used AA batteries; haven’t had it long enough to see if it’s battery hog.

Makes throwing away trash when your hands are full easy, and its simple to change the trash bag. Trash capacity is decent.
