Batteries are not included and i havent used it long enough to tell how long they will last but still its reasonable so far.

The design allows the trash bag to be removed without any hangups as there are no lips or anything that will grab the bag as you remove it. Definitely recommend this product.

The lid opens rapidly and closes by itself. I also like the design. It fits perfectly in our kitchen. But, I am still fumbling with inserting a new trash bag. The bag replacement process is a little awkward.

Takes D batteries, not included. It can be set to hold open if necessary. Has been working great. Easy to put a trash can linner in, with the trim ring. Lucky I saw the sale price and ordered it.

Feels really well made and sturdy, not cheap at all. The motion sensor works well as well. Not immediate you have to hover over it for a second, but it's still convenient and easy to get used to. The price is a bit high for a trash can but it's far better than having a plastic can that will break after a while.

The manual mode only allows you to keep the lid open for an extended period of time. Once you press the button to close the lid, the motion sensor reactivates.
