It is great to not have to touch the trash can in the kitchen in order to throw something out. so much more sanitary! it is easy to keep clean and performs wonderfully.

Actually still on the same batteries since it was unboxed. I like that the garbage bag goes around the plastic ring then tucks inside the can so you can't see it, i saw a few reviews that were not doing it properly. The sensor is pretty sensitive sonif its close to a high traffic area it will open everytime you walk by it. Just something to keep in mind. I recommend this trash can and as mentioned ours works great.

Issues with lid barely opening and closing

The only complaint I have is if you put it in an area that you walk by, it opens every time you walk by it. It's annoying but really not a big deal.

Can tell the metal is a bit thinner, but made well overall. I have not had any problems with sensor detecting to open. Make sure sensor is clean and unit has fresh batteries.

Works as it's supposed to. My son thinks it's so much fun to wave all sorts of things (including his derriere) above the can to open it.
