Best trash can ive owened. Come out handy when cooking as i can just swing my hand to open up the lid

Works fine. The need for, not included, 2 D cell batteries was surprising. We also have a smaller version of this that used smaller batteries.

When opening lid through sensor it barely wanted to open, when it came to closing it half way closed, and then stop in mid closing and i had to force it shut.

It lasted three years. Before the lid and motor start losing out. Mind you I had a baby that force the lid close and open for 2 years

I changed all my trash can to this. Its better than touching the trash. More clean and easy to use.

Works fine, looks good. The only complaint I have is if you put it in an area that you walk by, it opens every time you walk by it. It's annoying but really not a big deal.

So far so good! We replaced our previous automatic trash can, which was a cylinder shape, and it is so much easier to get the bag out of a square can! It's wider but not very tall so I got a computer monitor stand to set it on because we have a Great Dane that isn't very bright but could still figure out her head can open the lid at that height. I also like that you can turn the automatic feature off if needed.

Great for the Price. More reasonable than most similar sized. Can tell the metal is a bit thinner, but made well overall. I have not had any problems with sensor detecting to open. Make sure sensor is clean and unit has fresh batteries.

Nice upgrade for my kitchen. Looks great. Sometimes when I change the bag I need to take the batteries out to have it work again. Other than that, it’s a good product.

Bought this trash can a little over 6 months ago and haven't had any issues. Actually still on the same batteries since it was unboxed. I like that the garbage bag goes around the plastic ring then tucks inside the can so you can't see it, i saw a few reviews that were not doing it properly. The sensor is pretty sensitive sonif its close to a high traffic area it will open everytime you walk by it. Just something to keep in mind. I recommend this trash can and as mentioned ours works great.

Perfect sized for my kitchen. Fits well with the color scheme of my kitchen as well. Wish batteries were included but no big deal!

It’s work well. Nice addition for a kitchen. I don’t have to in the kitchen. I don’t have to push the top down like my old trash can. Got it for a deal50$

We've had this garbage can for 6 months without any problems. Works as it's supposed to. My son thinks it's so much fun to wave all sorts of things (including his derriere) above the can to open it.

This is a perfect trash can for our kitchen. The auto lid is a great feature to make cleanup easier. The top is large to be able to dump a lot of stuff and not have it hit the sides.

Good garbage can. Sensor works without any issues. Only issue I have is getting a full bag of garbage out is usually an issue. The bag gets stuck, and usually rips when pulling it out.

Cool little gadget. I only realized it’s fully automatic when I got there. It opens when you wave your hand over it

Been waiting for over a year for this to go back on sale. It was worth the wait. Looks great in the kitchen and matched my stainless steel appliances.

If the item worked, it would be a great buy. For $40 its a steal, it looks great. The problem is that it only worked for 4 days. On the fourth day it only opened halfway and then closes. After calling Insignia to trouble shoot, they just told me to return it. Too much of a hassle to repurchase and most likely have to bring it back to the store and return it. Its a shame, it could've been a great buy.
