Actually still on the same batteries since it was unboxed. I like that the garbage bag goes around the plastic ring then tucks inside the can so you can't see it, i saw a few reviews that were not doing it properly. The sensor is pretty sensitive sonif its close to a high traffic area it will open everytime you walk by it. Just something to keep in mind. I recommend this trash can and as mentioned ours works great.

Very convenient when hands are dirty or full and you just need to drop the trash into the can. You can do so simply by waving your hand over the auto light and it opens and closes without anyone ever having to touch it.

My only beef is that the sensor is really sensitive so I feel like it will be a big battery drain. Other than that the bags stay in place and it’s easy to change them when they’re full.

The battery doesn't come included and was a bit expansive, but I haven't had to change it yet (8 months use)and the can sees heavy use as it sits in the kitchen.

Note: its more of a process replacing & pulling filled bags than my last can, but not a deal breaker. The sensor is very sensitive, My Golden learned quick he can put noise near sensor & can opens.. tries to snag scraps we toss.

We were lucky to have grabbed this on sale. Considering the problems we've had with other similar units from other manufacturers we chose the extended warranty as well.

I will NEVER go back to a regular garbage can!!!! The sensor is great and it’s not loud when it opens. I put insignia batteries in it also and they last about 3 months before needing to be changed.

Does seem to open a little easy when you walk by, not wishing to use it. The metal is a little thin, so not sure how good durability long term will be.

Issues with lid barely opening and closing
