When opening lid through sensor it barely wanted to open, when it came to closing it half way closed, and then stop in mid closing and i had to force it shut.

We purchased this as part of the Deal of the Day, and we love it! Our previous automatic trash can stopped working properly after a few days, and we are happy to say that this one has easily outlasted the other one. Very happy!

I like the wide lid. Good size for a family 4. We change yhe bag about 2/3 days, good value.

Works fine, looks good. The only complaint I have is if you put it in an area that you walk by, it opens every time you walk by it. It's annoying but really not a big deal.

Nice upgrade for my kitchen. Looks great. Sometimes when I change the bag I need to take the batteries out to have it work again. Other than that, it’s a good product.

Great for the Price. More reasonable than most similar sized. Can tell the metal is a bit thinner, but made well overall. I have not had any problems with sensor detecting to open. Make sure sensor is clean and unit has fresh batteries.

We've had this garbage can for 6 months without any problems. Works as it's supposed to. My son thinks it's so much fun to wave all sorts of things (including his derriere) above the can to open it.

It’s work well. Nice addition for a kitchen. I don’t have to in the kitchen. I don’t have to push the top down like my old trash can. Got it for a deal50$

If the item worked, it would be a great buy. For $40 its a steal, it looks great. The problem is that it only worked for 4 days. On the fourth day it only opened halfway and then closes. After calling Insignia to trouble shoot, they just told me to return it. Too much of a hassle to repurchase and most likely have to bring it back to the store and return it. Its a shame, it could've been a great buy.

This is a perfect trash can for our kitchen. The auto lid is a great feature to make cleanup easier. The top is large to be able to dump a lot of stuff and not have it hit the sides.

I bought one of these for my sister at Christmas she was skeptical at first but then loved the ease of auto opening when your hands are full. I was at her place and fell for it as well it’s a good investment.

Works like a charm. It opens and closes just fine. Super easy to put a bag into and it stays in place. All the auto trash cans are overpriced I feel, but what isn't these days?!
