It worked perfectly for the first few months but then the motor went out and the lid would no longer lift even though you could hear the sensor working. Since I’m a TotalTech member they swapped it out for me and the new one is still going strong so far. I really like having a touchless trash can when it works.

It holds my 13 gallon bags nice and snug. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the bottom of the trash can screeches loud when moving it on a tile floor and the metal bin itself feels a little flimsy, but that’s not really a problem functionality wise. Batteries seem to last a decent amount of time. I’m still on my first set of D batteries and I’ve used it for over 3 months and it doesn’t seem to be getting slower yet.
