Loved this trash can!! We fill like we’re Jedi’s just walking by it opens just move your hand above it opens! I’ll be ordering for my daughter fir Christmas

Don't do this. It sucks 10 calories by having this unit open automatically instead of pressing a level with your foot.

Great garbage both in looks and functionality. But my absolute favorite thing avout it is the bettery operated touch free feature where it opens and closes automatically.

The trash can worked fine for the first 60 days. The trash can will open when any motion within three feet. Way to sensitive as needs over three plus feet not to open. Second issue lid would only open up about one and a half to two inches after about 55 to 60 days. Replace batteries and same issue. Photos taken show the lid ONLY opens about the 1.5 to 2 inches as previously stated. Three times New Duracell batteries installed with Expiration dates of 2030, 2031.

Very nice trash can. Little short for me, however extremely convenient.

Works as intended. Does not come with batteries, ao make sure you grab some. Believe it was 4 D size.

The Trash Can was delivered with dents in it and was a bit less sturdy than expected. Other than that, it was a decent buy

Purchased this item on a Deal of the Day special. It seemed to look great and picked it up and batteries would not stay put in the device, so had to take it back. Best Buy replaced this and sent me another one that was supposed to arrive in 2 days, which took 7. This new one worked, but came with huge dents. Took the second one back and said they would send out another and be there next day. Received the new one with a small dent and decided just to keep it. The sensor and gears don't work as well as the second one and can tell you, with having experience with 3 different Insignia 13 Gallon Automatic Trash Cans, not one was the same quality. Highly likely they do any quality control or testing before boxing them. Strongly suggest avoiding!

What a nice trash can. Well made and does the trick in style!!

It worked for awhile but is no longer operating properly. I’ve purchased new batteries and still not working. Lid opens half way only. I don’t know if I can return this to the store without the box. :(

My firts review, dont read more and stay away of this trash can. put your money and a reputable brand, they are going to send you a defective one to see if you dont conplaint and keep it, this happened to me, I live more than 1 hour from closest store and I was not able to returned it 2 weeks after purchased, UPS location is next to BB store, so no option. I ask BB to send me another one for replacment and if I wont return this one in 30 days to charge my CC for both of them, they told me No.

Was on sale for a great price but it was lower quality than expected. The lid was thin and cheap feeling which would’ve been no problem since I wouldn’t touch it anyway except for the fact that the lid did come cracked. It would’ve been a good product otherwise.

My just broke and won’t automatically open, of course it broke a few days after I’m unable to return it.

I just got this last night and it’s totally defective it’s going right back to Best Buy! Insignia’s customer service is AWFUL! Never again!! buy a better product. It WONT EVEN CUT ON

It's not good product. My other trash can was broken aftet 2 weeks of using it. I just change the bag then suddenly not working. I hope i can return and replace it.

This trash exceeded my expectations. The sensor is super responsive and works perfectly. it's practical, modern and the stainless design looks great in the kitchen. Easy to clean and very convenient for everyday use. I would definitely buy it again!
