This unit is clean and nifty. The auto-open feature is fun to use. I also notice the trash liners I use are easier to completely fill, so using fewer bags. Money well spent I think !

It takes a couple of D batteries (not included) to use the sensor. Currently, I just hit the open button and leave the lid open until I can find a better location to utilize the hand wave (over the sensor) to work properly.

Probably drops a star in my book for what it is if I had paid full price. These are pretty basic so hard to stand out but its very nice quality and looks nice. While it works, mine is a bit quirky where you almost have to hit the sensor to throw something away yet I'll be reaching across it and it'll somehow trigger and open when my hand is 3-4 ft from the sensor.

Automatic cover is slow to open even with brand new batteries. The button has to be pressed hard. Just an ok garbage can.
