That was the best decision I could have made when purchasing. It runs off of batteries. Since I’m raising a young child it teaches it easy for him to throw his trash away without touching the can.

The lid is quick and quiet but the sensor can be affected by ambient lignt so sometimes you need to swipe an extra time or two to make the lid open. Battery life is better than expected so far. Can includes an internal trim ring that secures the bag and keeps it out of sight for a clean look.

I assumed it would have been powered through a plug/usb or something. Overall it is functional and at the flash sale price a bargain comparatively speaking.

It's nice not touching it and there's a ring that holds the trash bag in place and I've used it for 4 months already and haven't begged to change the batteries in it yet.

IT ISN'T THE HIGHEST OF QUALITY FOR THE OPENING MECHANISM. IT IS SLEEK AND DOES LOOK NICE COMPARED TO MY OLDER TRASH CAN.

However, it is smaller than I anticipated. Also, change the trash bag is cumbersome to change. You have to take this plastic ring off, put the plastic bag through it, then put the bag and plastic ring in the can.

The lid opens very fast and closes slowly. If the lid gets jammed it'll just stop trying to close and will require someone to push the button on the lid to reset it.

When covid first happened i thought this would be great and modern so we dont have to touch the lid. But you end up looking like a trash wizard waving your hand multiple times to get this thing to open.
