So far so good. No extra interior plastic liner like higher-end models. The electronic eye is sensitive so opens easily but will also open whenever you walk by it. Great deal on sale for $40.

At best it is functional as intended. Insignia via Best Buy have a great warranty on their products. The trash can itself is serviceable and seems to be built solidly.

This trash can really makes it easy for me to throw things away. I feel like a real magician when i throw things away. Aside from the occasional mistake of opening it when walking by, im flippin my lid over this trash can

I was skeptical at first since the reviews weren’t that great. Looks smaller but is just as big and holds the same amount of trash. The response sensor is sometimes a little off but if you give it a minute it resets itself. Nice, clean look.

[Employee of bestbuy] Its a trash can. It has a lid. The lid opens and closes automatically. I throw my trash in. Not much else to say about it. Takes D batteries. Does not plug into wall.

Difficult to get one that's not damaged during shipping. Finally got one in good shape and would recommend. The metal of the can could be a little thicker though When ordering choose store pick up and you'll have a better chance of receiving one undamaged.

It is a great size trash can and looks stylish with chrome look. The one part it could us improvement is the door opening and closing can be a little noisy.

Bought mine several months ago and still haven't had to change the batteries yet. It's very easy to accidently open it while walking by, but otherwise it adds some convenience to the kitchen.

I replaced a different brand of trashcan due to the lid not functioning properly. I am happy with this trashcan and have not had any issues.

Good handsfree option that took some getting used to based on our previous trashcan. I wish it had an additional plastic insert to make it easier to clean out but still a great trashcan.

Great product. Bought for Christmas present. They loved it.

Great at first. For the first 3 months, the lever mechanism was smooth. After that, the lid slowly started to have some lag to when it sensed my hand. Later, the lid would only open to like 10 degrees (barely enough to slide a small thing underneath it) and would stop there. I tried replacing the batteries but that didn't help. Unfortunately, it was after the return period so I couldn't return it.

A good purchase if you can find it on sale. It adds a nice touch to the kitchen. It works pretty good as long as the batteries are fresh. No issues to report, we will see how long it will last. I would have preferred to have the option to plug it directly into the wall.
