Still on the first set of D batteries after 6 months, and I would estimate 4,000 to 5,000 open/close actions... and counting. And it is actually attractive (for a trash can)! Guests love it!

Good can liner holder and no touch is better than step on i think. Looks nice after months, no tarnish.

Was waving hand too close to the sensor. It works much better if you hold your hand or an object 5-10” above the sensor and WAIT. It doesn’t work instantly, which is probably better because you don’t want it to open every time you walk by.

Cooking is simple now with being able to toss stuff without touching the can. Also, any food smells stay inside as long as the lid is closed!

The lid sensor opens upon request and remains opened long enough for touchless contact. The retainer ring holds the trash bag in place for easy removal/replacement. Requires 2 D batteries. Love this purchase!

Hope it lasts many years to come. Just cheaply made with cheap parts.

Top comes off easily so you can change the bag. Bag is easily hidden when you put the top back on. Motion detector is effective and opening and closing mechanism works flawlessly. The entire container is easy to clean.
