The sensor needs to constantly be cleaned, but it works great and looks great. Costco has some better ones but I was able to snag this during the deal of the day for about $35.

We purchased this trash can almost a month ago now, and we're really happy with our decision buy this. The battery life (using D batteries) has been great- no need to change and the speed has remained the same since day 1.

Great look and style. The automated feature hasn’t failed once, which is a relief, since there have been those we’ve used where the feature tends to fail due to a faulty design.

I love this trash bin. I just wish the sensor is a little more sensitive. There would be time that i would have to wave my hand over three times just so it would open.

My wife has been wanting one of these hand free trash cans for the kitchen. It was on sale as a daily special. Works as advertised!

Love this garbage can, this is the 4th one we purchased for a gift. everyone who comes to our house comments on it. So we turned around and purchased for a gift. Funny how people are thrilled to get a garbage can.

Love the automatic opening for when you have your hands full or dirty.

I like everything about it except inserting the trash bag liner is a bit tricky. Not impossible just a bit tricky. And I would buy it again. Even with the tricky bag issue!

At first I loved this garbage can, but the batteries go dead pretty quickly even buying the best batteries. It also doesn’t always shut on its own and I have to push the button. I bought this to keep my furry children out of the garbage and if the lid stays open it’s just an open invitation. Thinking of buying rechargeable batteries to save money. Otherwise it will cost me quite a bit on batteries over time.

Good trash can. We bought 3 for our new house and enjoyed them so much we just bought 2 more. Unknown at this time how they hold up over time. We use rechargeable AA batteries with D adapters and it seems to work fine.

Absolutely loved this trash can. However the lid stopped opening all the way after about 9 months.

Better than expected! Holds more than my previous 13gal kitchen trash can. Very nice. Now husband is trying to get his clothes hamper to open by waving his clothes at it!

I really love this trash and. It is a replacement for an older trashcan I had for 5 years. This one is much quieter than the previous one I owned. It also looks very nice. I am glad I took a chance and bought it.

Looks nice. Works perfectly, but the sensor Is a tad overly sensitive. Lid activates and opens every time a person walks past it. That s no biggie. But what does bother me is

It's a great trashcan, tho the motion detection is definitely spotty. It doesn't always detect motion best the sensor, forcing you to hit the manual button.

Its a bit small for my kitchen, but I love this garbage can. The sensor is accurate and doesn't leave me waiting long to open.

Love my hands free trash can. It’s was such an amazing price for Best Buy anniversary could not pass it up. just a wave activates the lid. It’s very sensitive when we pass by it opens also.

This automatic trash can works great. As soon as I put the batteries it worked perfectly. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I wish it is a little less sensitive and less noisy but I still like it a lot.

Great buy! The hands free function is great when working on the kitchen. The chrome finish is easy to clean and looks very nice. Changing out the bags is a breeze and the lid stays down securely too. Love this item!
