So we turned around and purchased for a gift. Funny how people are thrilled to get a garbage can.

We bought 3 for our new house and enjoyed them so much we just bought 2 more. Unknown at this time how they hold up over time. We use rechargeable AA batteries with D adapters and it seems to work fine.

It also doesn’t always shut on its own and I have to push the button. I bought this to keep my furry children out of the garbage and if the lid stays open it’s just an open invitation. Thinking of buying rechargeable batteries to save money. Otherwise it will cost me quite a bit on batteries over time.

It is a replacement for an older trashcan I had for 5 years. This one is much quieter than the previous one I owned. It also looks very nice. I am glad I took a chance and bought it.

The hands free function is great when working on the kitchen. The chrome finish is easy to clean and looks very nice. Changing out the bags is a breeze and the lid stays down securely too. As soon as I put the batteries it worked perfectly. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I wish it is a little less sensitive and less noisy but I still like it a lot.

Battery’s have been replaced but still does not open more than 1/2”. It started decreasing in how much it opened month to month and figured it was the battery, but after replacing confirmed it’s the lid
