We have a long history with sensor operated trash cans and typically get some miles out of each can before the sensor goes bad and having to open the lid manually. This one not so much. In spite of multiple battery changes, moving locations to adjust for light, etc this is not worth our money. The sensor never works so having to continually open the lid manually with gruddy cooking hands is a big bummer.
