Wonderful if you don’t have a toddler who’s demands it needs to obey his commands

Look nice but did not like the quality the top broke right away it only lasted for so long had been just a few months when he broke down

So far, this automatic trash can is working. It is smaller and more difficult to operate than our other automatic trash can. However, it was less expensive.

I had high hopes but after about a month of use the lid will only open partially. New batteries didn’t fix it. Read some other reviews with the same issue so seems like a design problem. Called CS and now I have to be inconvenienced to take it to the store (I bought online because it isn’t close) instead of them just sending me a new lid. Will not buy another insignia product.

Doesn't open very well. Would take back, but it's been several weeks and i was sick and box gone

We loved this trash can when we first set it up. But two month in it's no longer opening. We chanced the batteries, we cleaned out stuff, but it clearly has power and pretends like it's opening, but never does. Since there are no handles, you can't open it well, without it opening automatically, so it's now just a piece of trash itself. What a waste of money.

It is really short so every time u walk by it opens up. It also doesn’t have a secondary container so the bag shows and makes it look tacki

Bought this on sale thinking it would last at least a year. The cheap plastic lid and mechanism broke after 3 months of use. It opens and closes for about 10-12 a day of use so it not heavily used. Should have bought the geek squad warranty. Now I’m stuck with a expensive 1/8 inch thick walled trash can.

Putting new bags in is a smooth fit. Haven't had any bags slip back into the bin. I am a little let down as you have to get fairly close to the sensor for it to open and it does make an annoying noise when it opens and closes. But you get what you pay for? The lid isn't sealed. There is a little gap on either side of the lid part that rises. Perhaps its supposed to be like that? But it doesn't help with odors.

It’s a trash can, I’m not a fan of the automatic open close.

It doesn't have a trash liner and the sensor comes and goes. I have to press the button to open or close it most of the time. And the size is a lot smaller than others.

after a month of purchasing the plastic that controls if it opens or closes broke. it will still open but i have to close manually.

I wish it was a bit bigger and the price its a little overboard but has been working well so far.

Lid stopped working after about three months. Just stopped opening with motion detected. Motor sounded like it was trying to work, but something stopped the lid from opening. Fortunately I bought the extended warranty and hope to get it replaced.

Worked fine for few months and then lid is not opening fully. Not happy with the purchase.

On the second day the lid doesn't close completely. Very nice but so disappointed.

It is a great trash can. Just the lid for the batteries comes off easily and the lid itself is made out of cheap plastic

Nice looking trash can, & worked well until it broke. The mechanism that lifts the top did not last long.

I really liked this trashcan…for the 4 months it worked. One day the lid started closing immediately after opening so I replaced the batteries thinking they were dying. Well it continued doing that and shortly after stopped opening at all. I wish I could get a new lid since ours became defective after 4 months of use. Guess I’ll be in the market for a different brand.

Bought 2 of these (1 for trash and 1 for reyecling). One works and the other doesn’t. It kept malfunctioning, opening and closing. I took the battery out and just leave it open.
