Not built to last!!!

Purchased it Jan 8, 2022/Delivered to me January 11, 2022. Stopped working January 5th 2023. I bought batteries thinking that was the issue. Still didn’t work. Called both Best Buy AND Insignia to determine options….past warranty timeframe (12 months) and no exception was given by either company. Trash product, trash service!

Costco is better

Posted .Hi, There might be two reasons that caused the sensor action slow. 1. Maybe the sensor panel surface is dirty. Please clean the surface; 2. Maybe the batteries are running out. Please change new batteries. Suggest to select alkaline battery, whose battery life will be longer. Thank you!

Trash can

Frustrating

This trash can is a perfect size for my kitchen. It was working for a couple of weeks. And now the senser does not work even if I push the button to operate manually. I have to take a lid off each time I use. Very inconvenient. As it has passed the date for returning, I got stuck with it. I should have sticked to the one with step on.

Good thing it was cheap

Broke right after return period

It worked for about a month how it should. It is not returnable anymore and of course broke after the return period. Also spent easily open by hand now that it’s broken. Wish it had an easy lift by hand as a backup when the electric part broke

Please make sure In the bearing part of the lid, there is no garbage stuck to it. If not works as well, please try to reset the lid.
The 24 hours factory reset goes as well:
Start by switching off the units.
Then remove the batteries from its compartment for a full 24 hours.
During the 24 hours while the unit is off, you can wipe down the sensor with a damp cloth or disinfection wipe.
Once the 24 hours passed you can insert good working batteries to the unit and switch it back on.
The unit should be reset and work properly.

Garbage head no opening

PS: The sensor is next to the open button and the hands can't be too close together or too far away. Otherwise it's out of range.

Trash before Trash
