Really disappointed !!! Lid sensor stopped working

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the size and ease of use of this trashcan. I ordered it online and it was delivered quickly. However, the box had a few large holes in it, and when I took the trashcan out, there were dents on both sides of it. I tried to pop them out, but that did not work. I ended up just keeping quiet about the damage, because the trashcan would be sitting inside of the pantry, and no one would see it. I would give the can it self a five star rating, but the shipping needs work. Shipping gets two stars.

Note: The firmware has a "feature" that will make it seem like the unit has failed after a period of time that is roughly similar to the warranty period. Don't despair, simply clean the lid reasonably well (do not submerge) and remove the batteries for an extended period to reset the electronics.

Grandkids love this thing

Seriously… I was tired of the smell from our open system. I wanted a close lid trashcan. In a wheelchair, I needed something with the auto open lid. This fit our needs. Only one downside. Ours is stored underneath a countertop and the close proximity of the location will cause the lid to stay open. Had to pull it out just a bit to make the lid close. Not a deal breaker but might be worth mentioning to someone reading this. Enjoy!
