The coiled cord is tight. I had a little difficulty getting it inserted into the car port. It's a snug fit and you really have to push it in there. At first use I thought it was defective because my phone wasn't charging. I had to really push it into the car port for it to engage. There is no LED indication that it has power. For $20 they could have installed a simple LED showing that it has power.

Google Pixel charger for car
