On the plus side, it added 2 USB ports to my car

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On the minus side, if I plug my phone into one of these USB ports my car will not talk to the phone via my Google Android Auto app loaded on the phone & car (used for displaying maps & directions on the view screen in the car). If I unplug it and move it to the dedicated USB port in the car it works. Amy I missing something here?
