Not for antenna users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have cable, and that might have made the difference so I'm returning this TV. The picture and sound are fine, but it takes about 5-8 seconds for the channel to change and there's a blank screen during the change. If you don't think that's long, mute your TV, change the channel, close your eyes and count off five seconds. It might be different if I had a cable box. Also, it won't hold a signal and I have to keep adjusting the antenna, which I don't have to do on the other TVs. It isn't a bad TV, and I was told Insignia is Best Buy's house brand so I went with it when I normally wouldn't have bought an 'off'name, but I don't think it's suited for antenna users.

Posted .Because the TV is having to decode HD programming, and sync the video to the audio, in some cases Open Air signal does take a little longer to show. In some cases upgrading to a amplified antennae will help with both the start up time, as well as reducing the amount of adjustments. – Jon, Insignia Support

Much better than the old screen I used to have. I would recommend this to someone for the same purpose or as a kitchen tv. Too small for other purposes.

The Insignia, which certainly fit the small dimensions criteria, was on sale for $99. The sound is a little tinny, but a decent picture. It was simple to set up. It serves the intended purpose.
