The lights are what attracted me to purchasing this item, it's a clean look if you want that colored light ambience. This attaches to the speaker of your device, not usb. So it started to develop a crackling sound after a while, you can try to twist the cord like a radio dial to improve the situation but it started to tank more and more overtime. Also, if you're working with bluetooth, it'll make the chime everytime it reconnects when your computer turns on or wakes up, didn't care for that.
