Can't beat it in the price range
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall – Let me start by saying, from 0-70% volume, this is a 5-star product – I don’t think you’ll find better in this price range. Packaging – the unit is well packaged and protected from any type of damage through normal unboxing and setup. Touch and feel – this was actually a surprise, the remote and buttons on the unit do have a much more premium feel. The HDMI cord felt a bit cheap, however, to be included at this price is a major plus. What’s included – This is a real plus, it comes you get everything you would need: power card, HDMI cable, remote, batteries. Mounting brackets, mounting template on a pretty thick paper – and without folds, and the wall hardware as well Setup – Again, this was easy for both the ARC connection to my TV and Bluetooth. Nothing out of the ordinary – that said, you need to make sure that your TV has its CEC enabled. I tied it on, and Insignia TV and a Samsung TV, and the HDMI was plugged in and playing. Also, no issues with the ARC functions, volume, and power work flawlessly. Also, I used Bluetooth the connect to my phone with no issues. Functionality – I have to say I was a bit skeptical of the sound capability at the start, however from a sound quality in this price rage (retial $50) I don’t think these one better out there – That said it’s not to the level a a $400 one but still much better than anything you get diretly from the TV soeaker. The bass, while not overly deep, was clear and had a bit of punch to it. High end was crisp and clear, the mids were really good, and the voice range was clear in the theater mode. The voice seemed to be a bit low, but I'm sure that was just their process. If you need clarity, the news setting worked very well. You do have some tonal adjustments that you could use; however, I found the preset one to be very good. All of this is consistent from 0-70% volume ( this should suffice for most listing environments). After 70% the voice, mids, and high remain clear; however, the bass becomes muddy, great worse as the volume increases from there. That said, I’m not sure you would ever need that level of volume in a standard room. Bottom line – I really like this sound bar and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve the sound over the TV speaker, and doesn’t want to pay a bunch to do it.

Simple Setup, Basic Functionality and Decent Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 2.0-Channel Soundbar has decent sounds and is very easy to setup and configure. Along with the soundbar and mounting hardware, it comes with an HDMI cord and two AAA batteries for the remote control. The footprint of the device is minimal and good for a table as it is just under 32 inches long, 3.5 inches deep and 2.5 inches tall. If you want to install it onto your wall, it only weighs about three pounds so you can be confident that it will be secure once properly mounted. Simply be sure to use the instructions and either the included mounting hardware or other anchors you may prefer more. Although it is only 2-channel and won’t allow for any additional speakers or a subwoofer, there is plenty of sound for a bedroom or smaller room where you’re not looking for theater level performance. There are variable settings for both bass and treble which made a noticeable difference when I was going through the sound modes. The modes are standard, theater and news which for this soundbar is enough to get you to a sound you prefer. Along with the preferrable HDMI connectivity it allows for an optical cable. I like both options for hooking up a television. You can use the 3.5 mm jack to connect to a monitor, phones or tablets that have that ability. You can use the USB port to connect a device and play music that is in either MP3, WAV or FLAC formats. You can also use Bluetooth to connect to your devices. Some newer televisions will allow for that, but I suspect this is more for using it with tablets or phones. Overall, for the price and built in capabilities, the device is worth it for a small environment and will absolutely give you a better experience then basic television or monitor speakers.

Good value soundbar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 32" stereo soundbar is a solid value and I would recommend it for anyone looking for louder/better sound out of a secondary TV (I'll elaborate on why I make the distinction of "secondary TV"). This soundbar sounds crisp and clear and provides solid value at its price point. It isn't bare bones, but it is very basic. There aren't logos, or distinctive styling cues on really any part of it. It comes with a simple and small remote, which I can appreciate as I don't need the extra clutter and the remote being small makes it easy to tuck away. It allows for several different sources, including bluetooth. These can be easily switched through on the remote or using the buttons on the soundbar itself. The sound is surprisingly crisp and clear for a soundbar of this price level, but don't expect audiophile quality. Of course, bass is lacking, but that is to be expected without a dedicated woofer. It shines in bringing out dialog and plays music well. I tested it with some TV shows, movies, and streams from Tidal and was satisfied. Not blown away, but satisfied. As mentioned earlier, I think this product is suited for a secondary TV. That is mainly due to the dimensions, appearance, and build quality. The materials and lack of any styling makes it look and feel pretty cheap. Also, it's surprisingly large. It's too tall to fully fit under my TV (granted it doesn't block any part of the screen), and it's quite deep from front to back. This means when I enter my room where I see my TV setup from the side, I am greeted by a fairly obtrusive black box in front of my TV. It might be different if it was a pretty piece, but the fact that it's just a big, black rectangle with a matte finish makes it unappealing and keeps it from blending nicely. Summary: 4 stars for the value aspect. It it functions well and sounds good enough for its price. Docking the 1 star for build quality, appearance, and size.

Great sound Bar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia makes a great speaker or sound bar product for the price and competition they have. This is my 3rd insignia sound bar and yes. I have used other brands. Insignia is a great quality for price. The other 2 still work and have moved into other rooms of the house. For not having a dedicated sub the bass is great. It's not going to shake your house during an intense movie scene or gaming session but it will provide what you need. I have used other sound bars that have separate subs and this sound bar provides better bass than those. I am very happy with this sound bar. It does exactly what I want it to do and does it at a price I don't mind paying. I would recommend this to other consumers who don't want to waste a lot of time deciding on what sound bar to use over their TVs integrated speakers. The build quality is the same as the other 2 old ones I have had since before the pandemic. That's pretty hard to do these days. Best buys brand insignia makes a great sound bar. Thanks for reading my review

Great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This comes with a remote, batteries, hdmi cable and screws along with brackets in case you choose to mount it on the wall. And of course it comes with instructions that are clear and easy to follow. I was surprised at how lightweight this soundbar is. This makes it much easier to move, hold, carry and mount. The setup was very easy and simply too and it only took me about 5 minutes to do. The instructions were simple. I decided not to mount it yet and just placed it on the tv stand. The sound quality is great. I personally tried it with a movie and with a few different songs and they were all great. I tried the sounds with the four different modes: standard, news, the theater, and night-time and they work just as I would have expected them too. The sound bar speaks the modes as you go through them. It also offers options to connect other items, like cell phone or laptop using different connections like the jack, usb or bluetooth. The sound quality is really great overall. You can adjust the bass and treble levels with the remote and watch the light levels to see how they adjust to help you remember your preferred level. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for simple, affordable, soundbar with great sounds.

Good Sound; Perfect for a 32" TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar is very nice for the price. It comes with an HDMI cable, remote, and mounting template and hardware. It has 3 sound modes (Standard, Movie, and News), treble and bass controls and several connection options - HDMI, digital optical, 3.5mm aux, and Bluetooth. It also has a USB port for playing music from a flash drive. The soundbar can be controlled either from the remote or from buttons on the top of the unit, although those buttons are for power, volume, and source selection only. I've listened to music using Bluetooth and watched movies using the HDMI Arc connection on my TV. The soundbar has good depth, clarity, and bass on both music and movies. I was actually impressed at the quality of the sound, it's very good considering the price. When in Bluetooth mode listening to music the remote can play, pause, and go to next/previous track. This soundbar is more than a good step up from small TV speakers and the Bluetooth connectivity gives it some versatility. It's perfect for a 32" TV, which is what I'm using it with, or maybe even with a 43" TV.

Perfect for bedrooms / smaller living rooms
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second of these Insignia soundbars I've owned over the years. The first one lasted a long time, I want to say 8 years? I used that model in my bedroom, which this is replacing, and had a much more expensive model / brand in the living room. The fancy one died within half that amount of time. I reluctantly bought another of those for the extra bass. To me, that speaks a lot to the build quality of Insignia products! Now, these simple soundbars aren't going to blow your hair back as far as sound, no super heavy bass, or not exactly theater sound, but this newer model has EXCELLENT sound vs. my older version. They've definitely upgraded the design. Very good for enhancing the factory sound on the television. The compact size and weight made it easy to hang on the wall in my bedroom by myself. The holes or brackets on the back are large enough to find using just your fingers as you hang it, which I also appreciate. In my opinion, this soundbar is perfect for smaller rooms, offering a couple of different pre-set EQ options that provide clear sound without needing a subwoofer. I programmed it to work with my TV remote. It's also a great value at less than $200, which makes it a winner in my book. I would recommend this item, all items really, from Insignia.
