Not much better than the sound that already comes out of the small flat-screen, I have in my kitchen. It works, but remember the old saying, "You bet what you pay for."

Not sure this soundbar does very much. It seems no louder or clearer than the TV alone, which is a shame since flat screen TVs and monitors have muffled sound.

The speakers on our small kitchen TV face backwards. The TV is in a corner so the sound is directed there. This makes audio sound like it is coming from a tin can. Voices and music are horrible. I was looking for a small computer speaker when I discovered the Insignia Mini Soundbar. I did not know a product like this existed and am betting there are few like it on the market. I have the Mini connected to the TV with an optical cable (set TV digital output to PCM). I easily programmed our Charter Spectrum cable remote’s AUX button for the Mini using an Insignia TV code found by Googling “charter remote codes”. I also mapped the remote’s volume keys to AUX with instructions found online. My remote’s on/off button now operates the cable box, TV and Soundbar (in that order). Channel buttons work the cable box while volume up/down operate the Mini just as they should. The Insignia Mini Soundbar makes a GREAT difference in TV sound and I am very pleased. The Mini appears to have a couple of small speakers with no woofer or passive radiator visible however sounds pretty good with TV audio. The small footprint and height of the Mini make it look at home on the TV pedestal. I believe the Mini would not be good with a large TV as the soundstage would be to narrow for the picture. Although it can get pretty loud, it is also best used in a small space as well. I have not used the Bluetooth function of the Mini as we have a Bose Wave system for that task in the kitchen. I can enthusiastically recommend the Insignia Mini Soundbar for use with small TVs having poor audio. The Mini even has threaded inserts on the back so it could be easily mounted above or below a wall mounted TV with simple DIY brackets.

The great thing is the unit is compact but is loud and clear at the same time.

I've heard better sound on small Bluetooth speakers half the size. Bought it open box, package said all parts included... wrong. No remote. Poor sound, no remote. Returned.

I actually returned this soundbar. It only worked at very high volume. If tv volume was at a normal level it did not work.

Really puts out for a small speaker. Helped augment the TV meager speakers.

I was really impressed with this small sound bar. It worked great for a little over a month and then made a clicking sound. Now nothing comes through the speaker. I had to unplug everything so that I could hear through the regular TV speakers. It was such a disappointment. Too bad really. It fit just right under my TV..

We were trying to make the sound better on a flat panel in the bedroom. I could tell very little difference between tv sound and this item with the tv sound off.

I bought this for a small room hoping it would amplify the sound a little but it sounded worse than my tv speakers. I ended up returning it.

Right now still cannot get it to work try 3 tv still nothing in the process of trying a 4 th

Worked perfectly well in my bedroom. Elevated the volume of my tv.

Not the best didn’t really sync too well with our tv so we use it for for our computers instead

After 2 separate trips to purchase a digital audio cable we still weren't able to use the cord connecting the sound bar to the TV. This was after in store person told us which cord to buy. We are now relying on the blue tooth setting to connect and it works okay although each time we want to use sound bar we have to make TV forget the device and re-pair it. Super annoying. Honestly - we are just too lazy to return this soundbar and are now past the 30 days return period.

I bought this sound bar as a cute accessory to go with my new 4k TV. The nice sleek design fits nicely on my TV stand and blends in well with my Insignia TV.

Good enough sound for tv and I connect my phone to it as well.

This was an 'open box' product and it was lacking any instruction booklet. Sound was poor. I think it was damaged prior to my purchasing it.

It does not work with my smart tv but does with my cable box.

I returned the unit to Best Buy for a refund. The speakers in the TV were better than the ones in the sound bar. There does not appear to be any ratings for the sound bar. Now this might be the fault of my TV as the output shows a set of headphones and the soundbar might require a line voltage signal to work properly.. Before buying check the back of your TV and determine what kind of signal there is on the external output.
