This is the best $50.00 I will spend all year. I needed a speaker that could take an optical input, which you generally cannot find for less than $100 (or more). But this not only has an optical in, it also has RCA in and Bluetooth connectivity. And a remote! To be clear, this is not a speaker you should choose to improve upon whatever is in your TV. It is plenty loud, and it fills my family room, but above a certain volume the sound is muddled. It is not meant to drive in-your-face audio, and you will be disappointed if that is what you are expecting. But I have an Xbox One X that I play through a 4k monitor that has no sound, and for those purposes it is perfect. I use the optical in for the Xbox, and Bluetooth for my computer. It connects effortlessly every time, and I have never had an issue. Note that it does not decode Dolby surround codecs, so you will need to output audio in a PCM format from your system. That means you will only ever get compressed stereo output, which apparently annoys some people. For the money, though, it is insane to expect anything more. If audio means that much to you--buy something high end. This product does more than many units that cost twice as much, and it does it well. As discount sound bars go, this is the one to beat. Great for piping out computer audio, game console audio, or as a no-frills TV speaker replacement (if your TV audio is broken).

Don't expect much when you buy this. Poor quality.

I bought a brand new M800 series 4k by Samsung and they promised this sound bar would be louder than my tv....... What a total lie. My tv is louder than this sound bar by a long long run.

Blah, was a waste of my time to pick it up, try it, be disappointed and return it. it is MUCH smaller then the picture, not that its somehow inaccurate I Just suppose I assumed it would be longer like a TV sound bar. May have been my not reading closely.

Only problem, 1 of our phones can't always connect

This sound bar is ok the only problem I had was it couldn't connect to my Samsung 4kuhd tv .. No sound would come out at all just pure silence .. so I use it to play music and for that I work well.

Didn't realize this was a mini-version of the big boy sound bar. Even at full volume it's very difficult to hear on other side of bedroom. I'm usually very pleased with Insignia products - but not this one. :(

I purchased this sound bar as a birthday gift for my son. He is very disappointed in the out put of the speaker. It was as if there wasn't a sound bar attached to the TV. Explore other options prior to purchasing this item.

It's almost too good to be true because it's small and really cheap but it's perfect for our TV in our bedroom. We have a 47in and the sound of the tv isn't that great esp with certain bases. Pretty simple install and the remote is user friendly. Could immediately tell a huge difference. We have a $600 sound bar and this obviously doesn't sound as good but we're not using it for the theater type sound either so it's great for our needs. I would purchase again and if there's another tv bought for another bedroom/workout etc I would buy this

Garbage quality. Remote control cracked within first week of purchase. No satisfaction from customer service. Stuck with garbage quality and cracked remote control.

Hooked this speaker up to our new tv to help with sound. This speaker made a humming sound louder than tv volume. So I unplugged from tv and still did it. Do not buy.

This speaker is NOT compatible with a NEW Samsung T.V. The speaker has a muffled sound and yes I tried everything to get a better sound. I changed my settings in my tele. With the equalizer. I don't recommend this product.

It’s worse than my already terrible Westinghouse tv speakers. I tried using optical instead of the packaged AV red/white it came with and it sounded worse. Maybe it’s the tv, but I doubt it.

I had connected it via the 3.5 mm jack, our TVs don't have RCA jacks. Compared the sound between our TV and the sound bar. Sound on the bar was really not enjoyable at all. Plus, it wasn't any louder than our TV.

I purchased 2 Insignia speakers bought the accessories for a better sound recommended by insignia Inc. the products don't work, Bluetooth does work occasionally. Safe Your Money!!! Respectfully;;HJP/TEXAS

Hooked up soundbar to Hilton property TV. Nothing. Unplugged one audio cable; got sonic feedback. Could be hotel has bought units with externals cut off. Was hoping for improved LG flatscreen sound.

I could not get the soundbar to work with my smart TV. I follow the directions exactly. I went back to the store and told them how I connected the soundbar. They said I did it right.

We tried all recommendations for setting this sound bar up to no avail, so unfortunately, I cannot give a review in terms of its function. I do appreciate the preprinted label for an easy return.

Doesn't improve sound and we are forced to turn up the volume to 100 for normal volume. It doesn't remain powered on so we often have to turn it back on manually. What a waste of money and time.

Unfortunately we return this product it was a little confusing to set up and we couldn't get the sound to come out this is the first time we've ever return the product usually we have good luck with Best Buy
