This is a small area so this was the only choice. There is no optical on this tv, so it's not going to blow you out of your seat, but it improved the sound of the tv.

However, because it plugs in to the wall they can produce slightly louder sound than a portable. I would not spend more thab $20 in it, unfortunately I did.

Tried everything and nothing worked. Best Buy said it should be working, NOT. Second I could only use the ear phone jack and after one hour of usage all I got was a high patching sound. Again went through all the motions and nothing. I will say it sounded great at first. Hooked it up to a 32 inch in the bedroom. It was a mother’s day Gift. Got to busy and did not return it. That’s on me
