The sound quality is mediocre at normal levels and really terrible when played louder. There is a slight static noise on mid-volume levels. For this reason, there is only a slight improvement over the pitiful laptop speakers. I get more volume, not ANY improvement in clarity. The pros to this speaker: it paired easily and has a remote that works well. I got this at a very good price, because it was open box--otherwise, I'd return it. Spend a bit more and get something better--that's what I should have done.
