We have an insignia fire edition tv. Our choice when we streaming through amazon or watching a stored video is either turn the sound bar off and use the tv speakers or deal with the audio and video being out of sync. Coupled with the minor inconvenience of a second remote, the whole thing has been irritating. The sound is marginally better but it solved none of the real problems we hoped and created some further minor irritations.

The volume situation is completely normal because of the native audio format of each source (apps, cable box, players, etc).
