It took a while to get it set up because you really need the digital wire connection. It did not come with one. We searched around the house and found one. Once that was hooked up everything was good to go. We just wanted something for our smaller tv and this fit the bill

The sound would reach a certain level and go no higher even though it appeared we were increasing the volume. I think that anomaly was partly due to where we have it mounted. In any event, I wanted a soundbar without a subwoofer that wasn't expensive. This model by Insignia fit our need perfectly. The instructions said it would only work with Insignia TV remotes. We connected it to the headset jack on our TV and the Sony TV remote adjusts the volume! Plus I purchased it on sale so it was a great deal!!

I am a little hard of hearing so it has been great. The only thing I have had a problem with is that it turns off and doesn't turn on automatically when the TV is turned on so have to manually turn it back on. No big deal really though.

I gave away to my uncle the Insignia LED TV that We had over 7 yrs. Believe it or not, it is still good. Anyway, since I gave him that TV I wanted to give him for father’s day a sound bar. Found this sound bar in special so I was like let’s give it a try. I always tried to buy all electronics the same brand. That’s just me. The sound is amazing, super loud, crisp and clear. My uncle loves it, now he has a tv in his room with a great sound. Very happy with my purchase.

Perfect addition to our Home Theater

After reading other reviews, we took a chance and ordered it. We almost had to go with another kind because the store thought they'd accidentally given it away to another customer... but then they found it and we couldn't be happier! This bar packs a mean sound punch and our home sounds just like a movie theater now!!! Love it!

Works with some TVs but not most Sonys

It connects fine to the smart TV and the sound is decent - certainly better than the built in speakers on the TV. Most Sony TV do not have the correct settings to connect the sound bar, and it doesn't work well without and optical cable (not provided). If you have a Sony, I'd advise against buying it.
