Unresponsive buttons, incompatible with LG TV

However, you can't depend on the buttons to respond when you want to, so that's frustrating and annoying. The power button was not reliable, but I felt like I could get the buttons to respond soon after pressing the DSP button. It made me think it would be best to leave it on all the time to avoid the hassle of trying to turn it on and off. I couldn't get the Insignia soundbar to work with a LG TV (model 49UJ6300), likely because the LG TV demands a LG soundbar. I tried both the included RCA audio cable and a digital optical cable (not included), but neither transmitted sound from the TV. It could also be possible that the Insignia soundbar may demand a Insignia TV. I was able to test the soundbar using the RCA cables connected to my cell phone, so that's how I know the soundbar works.

I would have to get up to turn it on manually and sometimes the sound bar did not respond to the button either! DO NO BUY! Got a Vizio for a little more and love it!

Did the step by step directions along with the changing of the output. Worked great with my Samsung S9 Note phone. Zilch with the TV. Called support and after going through the same steps a couple of times. Conclusion-may have to buy additional optical cord, but not worth the effort. Insignia all but said (would not say) not really compatible. Dolby Digital!!!

The soundbar output was weaker than the TV speakers. It's max volume was about 75% of what the TV produced. I read all the rav reviews and that is what prompted me to buy 2 of these soundbars. I'm taking them back and going to spend some Adult money for something that I hope will work.

Digital optical port broken
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this soundbar on Black Friday with my new TV, but when I go to set it up part of the plastic piece for the digital optical port was already lose which snapped as soon as I plugged my cable in it. I haven't been able to use this soundbar with my tv, it sounds decent through blue tooth.
