I purchased this sound bar not expecting anything spectacular, just a basic soundbar to go with our new TV. Bottom line up front, this product is not worth even the sale price. The setup and operation of the soundbar right out of the box was so difficult and glitchy we had to call Geek Squad to come make an attempt at setup (another $100 we could have just used for a better wuality soundbar) hoping we could just get it to work. Jilly from Geek squad (who was fantastic by the way!) struggled for over an hour to get it to work. She was finally able to get it to function, but the subwoofer makes an audible “popping” noise whenever its in use. No amount of adjusting settings could remedy this, she concluded it was just poor wuality equipment. She ended up telling me this soundbar is junk and to return it to Best Buy and purchase something else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, even at a sale price its not worth rolling the dice that you’ll get anything other than a pile of electronic junk. Very disappointed, now I have to take it back to store to return it. Thankfully the return process seems straight forward.

I tried everything on the manual and even checked YY in hot to hook em up together but they dind work. They’re supposed to autoconnect when plugged for the first time but they dind. So I had to do it manually.

I bought my sound bar when i saw that insignia made a new product. I purchased this last week, and the subwoofer doesn't want to connect after the 2nd day. I've been at war with it ever since I've tried reaching out, but no one contacted me

Hi there! I’m sorry to hear that your Insignia™ 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer is not working as intended. It’s designed to automatically pair with the subwoofer on initial set up. If this is not the case, there are detailed instructions in the manual to assist you in reestablishing the Bluetooth connection.  https://files.bbystatic.com/lOwSXimkcs5YsGygDcCbew%3D%3D/Quick%2BSetup%2BGuide “Manually connecting the subwoofer and soundbar If your subwoofer does not connect automatically to your soundbar, the subwoofer pairing LED slowly blinks turquoise. To manually pair them: 1 Make sure that your soundbar is powered on and positioned next to your subwoofer. 2 Press and hold the (source selector) button on your soundbar for three seconds. The soundbar enters pairing mode and its LED blinks turquoise quickly. 3 Press and hold the PAIRING button on the subwoofer for three seconds. The subwoofer enters pairing mode and its LED blinks turquoise quickly. 4 The soundbar and subwoofer should pair automatically. The soundbar's LED lights solid based on the selected source. The subwoofer's LED lights solid turquoise”

Very good for the price. Installation was as simple as possible. (It's never fun to try to plug stuff into the back of a TV.) The wireless subwoofer connected automatically. For my ears it has great sound. I can feel the thump of the sub. Made me feel like I was at the football game. You do have to change the audio setting on your TV to switch it to the new speakers. Not difficult, but be aware.

I bought this sound system from Best Buy to pair with my TV, and the difference is unbelievable. The audio is crisp, clear, and incredibly immersive—dialogue is sharp, music is rich, and the bass has just the right amount of punch without overpowering everything. Whether I’m watching action movies, sports, or just listening to music, it feels like I’m right in the middle of the action.

I’m 70 years old and still have good hearing but to listen to music on YouTube and watching sports on my TV I wanna have better quality sound and a subwoofer so I purchased a sound bar with a subwoofer from Best Buy. I love it. I didn’t mount mine on the wall although it came with the hardware to do that. I just put it on the TV stand. I’m happy with the quality of the sound compared to my TV; although I wasn’t unhappy with the TV sound, but I’m much more happy with the sound bar and subwoofer. I wish I had got it years ago.

I bought the sound bar system to go on a couple year old TV that just had terrible sound. It’s a bedroom TV and I wanted something that was a little better but not overwhelming at night. This insignia sound bar and subwoofer definitely do the trick. The ability to adjust the bass to meet my needs is definitely something I was looking for. Good unit I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a low priced sound bar that won’t be disturbing to those around you. A Pleasant surprise.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the no-frills Insignia sound bar, and I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. The sound quality was impressive, with clear audio and a subwoofer that delivered robust bass. However, I encountered some difficulty when attempting to connect the wireless subwoofer, as the instructions provided were not very clear. Fortunately, I was able to find helpful guidance through a quick online search on Google.

Great deal when I added to a TV order. Got it on sale. Able to connect to TV various ways, good sound quality and decent little wireless sub for added bass. Really a good deal even at regular price / comparable to many higher priced but no better equipped examples from other brands.

I must say, it has great sound quality. The subwoofer definitely has nice bass, but mine makes weird “clicking” sound if its on and im not playing anything. To make it stop, i have to either mute the system or shut it off completely. Makes me think it’s defective and might go out at some time soon.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's great to hear that you're enjoying the sound quality and bass of the subwoofer. However, the clicking sound when it's not in use does sound concerning. It might be a defect, and it's understandable to worry about it potentially failing. If you haven't already, you might want to reach out to customer support for assistance or consider getting it checked out. If there's anything else we can help with, please let us know!

First one worked so well on the patio TV at my girlfriend’s, that I purchased one for the TV on my patio and another for my bedroom. All sound excellent in each location. It turns on and off automatically, has three sound modes, subwoofer level control, and multiple audio inputs, including bluetooth. Great bang for the buck. Will buy again for my garage and office.
