    Was a great dorm fridge until it wasn’t.

    This fridge lasted one year and then died exactly 5 days after the warranty expired (and sadly after we had moved it back into our son’s dorm). Would not buy again, we expected it to last four years.

    The fridge was dented in three places upon removal from the box. There was no visible damage to the box so delivery was not the problem. This is well below the level of quality expected from Best Buy.

    Ran, but didn't cool

    We were psyched to get the last one of these in our local store for our son's dorm room. We left it in the box, and just set it up there. Big mistake! Everything seemed fine, but the next day he said it wasn't keeping anything very cold. We found the manual and told him to be sure it was 5" away from the way, and set at 4. So he did that. The next week he said it still wasn't very cold, so I suggested turning it up to 5-6. By that weekend, we made the trip to his dorm to swap fridges with him. I got it home and left it off for a few hours, put in a fridge thermometer, and plugged it in. The next morning is was still 68 degrees. So I shut it down for 24 hours and then tried it. 12 hours or so later it was still 68 degrees. So it had to be returned. What a pain!

    I gave this item to a member of my family for a birthday gift. It was stilll in the box when i gave it to him. It has some dents in the outside case and I plan to return it and hopefully get one that is not dented.

    Worked fine, but u it was very loud. Now just after the warranty period has expired, the unit no longer cools. Wont be buying Insignia again if this is their brand quality.

    Product died less than 6 months past purchase. Warranty was only 90 days. My dorm fridge lasted 20 years and the new one was less than six months.

    Dead after 2 months. It he’d soda. Was in a safe place in my office. Then just stopped working. Very upsetting since it had such high reviews.

    Broken when arrived

    The first fridge I ordered came in with the box being broken and the fridge dented and scratched. I then exchanged it and the second one came in dented as well. Now I’m going to have to take both fridges back to Best Buy.

    Such a bad experience buying my mini fridge, you guys had it delivered to me and when I opened it my fridge was all dented, 3 dents on the door and a couple more n each side, looks like they dropped it

    Purchased this to replace an old GE mini fridge. This worked great for about a month. Then I started to notice a couple drops of what I believe to be the coolant/Freon on the floor, and now 3 months later doesn’t cool at all. It runs and you can hear fluid moving throughout, but stays room temperature. Moved it for the first time since I plugged it in and tilted it slightly and viscous fluid poured out the back. Should have paid more attention to it originally and now it’s too late to return/replace.

    Is that a coffee maker I hear?

    This mini fridge cools well, but sounds like a coffee maker in the process when the compressor kicks on. Unfortunately this is quite distracting and irritating and I will be returning it.

    Purchased this as a replacement for the exact same refrigerator that died a couple of months after the warranty expired. This time I purchased the warranty extension to get a second year of coverage. Well, it didn't matter, the frig died just 4 months after purchase. So be prepared for failure. Perhaps they should offer a $15 a month refrigerator subscription because that's what it's turning out to be between the cost of the appliance and the expense and inconvenience to manage the failures

    Badly damaged

    The fridge arrived badly dented and scraped. Such poor quality control. This is the second item that arrived either broken or damaged in the last two months. I will no longer purchase from Best Buy.

    I bought this item. Mini fridge. It was brought for a bait fridge. Used in the garage. October of 2022, it was brought. It only lasted until June of 2023
